Homeschooling Mentorship

One of my greatest joys in life has been mentoring others to their best selves. I have been homeschooling since my children were tiny little ones. Now my son will soon be graduating from University with a law degree with a minor in international relations. He is 19. My daughter who is now 16 has the opportunity to begin University early as she has met all of her high school requirements but she is choosing to take a bit more time as a high school student before entering the stresses of the adult world. Every student and every home is so different. I have learned this through years of helping other parents with their curriculum choices and how to manage a successful schedule. It takes work. Homeschooling is definitely now for the weak of heart but instead it takes the courage of a lion. I can say that over the years I have questioned my decisions to keep going and not enroll my children in school. We have even toured schools at various moments in our journey. But I knew then just as I know now, I am the best teacher for my children. That may not be true for you but it was true for us.
